On Tuesday, September 11th at 9:26am. the US FAA shut down the airspace over the US forcing over 4000 planes to land in airports all over the world. 38 of them landed in the small town of Gander. Passengers were not allowed to leave the plane. These 38 planes carried over 6500 passengers. For the town of Gander, this was an extraordinary challenge to take on. They were on the planes for more than 5 hours. None of them knew why. None of them knew what had happened. The "Come From Aways" were driven to churches, schools, community centers and Salvation Army locations and neighboring towns. This is the story of Gander and the 6570 people they opened their homes and lives too. This show will bring tears, toe tapping, happiness and most of all an understanding for human kindness. See below to experience the opening number for "Come From Away", you will not be disappointed.
