TOUR POLICIES


VEHICLE

Round Trip transportation in spacious, newer model motor coaches. (Trips may be in a downsized vehicle if rider-ship is small) When necessary, pickups and returns may be made via one of our mini's. All coaches are equipped with restroom, A/C, adjustable seats, DVD & Monitors, PA systems and panoramic windows.


RESPONSIBILITY

Calyssa Travel LLC cannot assume liability as agents for hotels and other accommodations and cannot be held responsible for lack of performance by proprietors or their staff. All operations and their respective tariffs will be within the operating authority assigned by the “Department of Transportation” and the “Maryland Public Service Commission.” Calyssa Travel LLC reserves the right to decline acceptance of any person on their tours, and also to make changes in itineraries and prices. Calyssa Travel LLC will make every reasonable effort to accommodate all persons with special needs. A fourteen (14) day notice before departure would be appreciated; however, a minimum 48 hour notice is required.


PICK-UP POINTS

Please be at your pick-up point fifteen (15) minutes prior to departure. Not all pick-ups are available on all trips.

NOTE: Parking in any lot with public access is done at your own risk. Calyssa Travel LLC and the owner of the parking facilities cannot assume responsibility for theft, damage, vandalism, etc., that might occur to vehicles while parked in their lot. Please check with the office when making a reservation at 301-200-3850.


PRICE INFORMATION

In the event of increased diesel fuel costs, Calyssa Travel LLC reserves the right to impose a fuel surcharge on our tours to cover these increased costs.


DEPOSITS & FINAL PAYMENTS

We accept check, money order and credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express) for payment. There is a service charge for all returned checks.

ONE-DAY TOURS: requires a $25.00 per person deposit within fourteen (14) days of making the reservation, and the balance of the trip must be paid in full at least forty-five (45) days prior to the departure date. One-day tours involving a special ticket (Broadway Shows, Concerts, Sporting Events, etc.) are to be paid in full sixty (60) days prior to the date of departure, and are non-refundable and non-transferable at that time. Certain ticketed tours may require a larger deposit. Deposits only cannot be made through online booking. You must contact our office to make your reservation when placing a deposit. Some tours vary on deposit amounts.

MULTI-DAY TOURS: requires a $250.00 per person deposit within fourteen (14) days of making the reservation, and the balance of the trip needs to be paid in full at least forty-five (45) days prior to the departure date (with the exception of air travel and cruise trips). Multi-day tours involving a special ticket (Broadway Shows, Concerts, Sporting Events, etc.) are to be paid in full sixty (60) days prior to the date of departure, and are non-refundable and non-transferable at that time. Deposits only cannot be made through online booking. You must contact our office to make your reservation when placing a deposit. Some tours will vary for deposit amounts.


PAYMENT PLANS

Payment plans are available for all trips. Deposits and duration of payments will vary based on the date of the tour. There are NO fees attached to payment plans.


SCHEDULE CHANGES ON TOURS

Itinerary changes may occur that are beyond the control of Calyssa Travel LLC. Reasons may include, but are not limited to: failure on the part of outside agencies to deliver accommodations, admission tickets, and/or unusual circumstances with includes vendor closure and availability. Itineraries may be changed to benefit the quality of the tour at the discretion of Calyssa Travel LLC. Passengers will only be notified if there is an extreme change in the itinerary. Cancellation policy will not be affected by changes in the itinerary.

CANCELLATION

Refunds will be given if cancellations are made at least sixty (60) days prior (except for tours that require a full payment more than thirty (30) days prior to trip date or for air travel and cruise trips) to the departure date on most Calyssa Travel LLC. In the event that you must cancel a tour including a non-refundable ticket, a refund will only be issued if the ticket can be re-sold before the departure date. Calyssa Travel LLC reserves the right to cancel a tour if less than 18 reservations have been received. Some exceptions may apply. Calyssa will be enforcing this cancellation policy, due to the strict policies set forth by the attractions, restaurants and hotels. You may purchase a Cancellation Waiver for some tours for $20. This will allow you to cancel up to 7 days before your trip. Cancellation waivers are only available for non-ticketed tours. Insurance is available for all other tours.


SMOKING & ALCOHOL ON BUS

For the comfort of all, we maintain a no smoking / vape policy. For those passengers who wish to smoke, frequent rest stops are provided. No alcoholic beverages are permitted on any tour.


PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP/PHOTO ID

Some Calyssa Tours may require proper photo ID and/or valid passport. Calyssa Travel LLC is not responsible for anyone who does not have proper legal identification at time of tour.


GRATUITIES

The question often comes up about tipping for the drivers and escorts. The final success of any tour depends on the performance of the driver and escort. As a standard in the industry, it is recommended that gratuity be $3-$5 per person per day. These individuals look after your safety, comfort and enjoyment for often 10-12 hours per day. Of course, it goes without saying, the amount of gratuity always reflects the kind of job performance provided.


TRAVEL INSURANCE

To help you handle unforeseen travel headaches, Calyssa Travel LLC offers trip cancellation protection through Travel Insured International A Crum & Forster Company and on some trips, our own cancellation waiver is available for an additional fee. Cancellation waivers are not available on all trips ask our staff for availability. We highly recommend trip cancellation protection; however, it is not required. All claims for cancelled trips must be filed with the insurance company and is subject to their approval process. Refunds for cancellations where insurance has been purchased comes from the insurance company.


LUGGAGE

Passengers are permitted one suitcase per person weighing less than 50 pounds. Also, a small carry-on piece will be permitted; however, passengers are responsible for such items. Trips with airfare do not apply. For information on luggage restrictions, please check with the airline.
